Dave Redman and Daniel Armstrong first created the characters Julian Peace and Frank Quiet in 1996 for a short film called Noise Pollution . In 1999 Peace and Quiet returned for Dr Genius and the Secret Agent Formula . Made with a budget of $300 "Dr Genius" went on to huge success, being an audience favourite and winning numerous awards including the SPAA Award for most resourceful production and Best Editing at Flickerfest (2000) and Best Visual Effects at St. Kilda Film Festival (2000).

Peace and Quiet: Fast Pants - Tight Cars marks the thirteenth short film for Redfoot Films (formerly Strong Man Pictures) . Redfoot prides itself on high production value, mainstream genre style short films. "We make the films we would like to see in the cinemas".

Dave is a prolific filmmaker with a passion for storytelling. Since 1990 he has edited and/or directed hundreds of TVCs, short films, corporate & promotional videos.   He is a graduate of AFTRS (Australian Film, Television & Radio School) and RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and has over 14 years experience as a professional editor & director in film & television. Peace and Quiet: Fast Pants - Tight Cars is his 15 th short film as director.
