Back to Bondi October 2011 Dave is cutting the fourth series of the Logie nominated factual series Bondi Vet until March 2012. Dave also edited Series 1 & 2 for WTFN.

2011 Logie win!! May 2011
Dave edited the Logie winning documentary Trishna & Krishna: The Quest for Separate Lives. It took out the award in the Most Oustanding Factual category and is the first Logie for Melbourne production company WTFN..
Damned UK release March 2011
Brett Anstey's Damned by Dawn is released in the UK this month by Momentum Pictures distributers of such fine films as The Kings Speech and The Fighter. They've taken a different approach to marketing the film and this new art, featuring the Banshee, will also feature on the DVD cover for several other territories around the globe.
New Year - New Job February 2011
After 5 years with WTFN Dave has ventured back into the freelance world starting with the SBS factual series 'The Family', produced by Shine. Exciting times ahead.
A.S.E. Awards Nomination November 2010
Dave has been nominated in the documentary category of the Australian Screen Editors Guild Awards for his editing of Trishna & Krishna: The quest for separate lives. The awards will be announced on December 5.
Keeping up with the Joneses October 2010
For many months Dave has been cutting WTFN's new show for Channel 10 Keeping up with the Joneses. Set in outback Australia it follows the daily lives of the Jones family as they muster cattle, fight fires, battle floods and even wrestle the odd croc or two.
Damned by Dawn set for US release October 2010 Damned by Dawn will be unleashed on unsuspecting Americans this Halloween. Check out the cool US trailer below. The movie will be released early next year in the UK and Canada too!
EditFest LA, The Ranch & Pixar August 2010
Dave recently attended EditFest LA meeting many like minded foik and heard inspiring stories from some of the world's leading film & tv editors. The following days included a visit to Skywalker Ranch & Pixar in San Francisco. Awesome!

Trishna & Krishna December 2009 / January 2010 For over 18 months Dave has been cutting an extraordinary documentary following the journey to seperation of conjoined twins Trishna & Krishna. The WTFN produced doco will air in Australia on Channel 7 Feb 7 2010 and other territories in the following months.
Hollywood be 'Damned' October 2009 Damned by Dawn has been officially selected to play at Screamfest on October 19. The world famous Grauman Mann's Chinese Theatre will play host to the US Premiere. Dave wrote,directed, shot & chopped a short viral video for the Australian Screen Editors Guild. It's part of an online awareness campaign for the guild and will be playing on industry websites. Have a look for yourself.

Corrections at St. Kilda May 2009
Comedian Bob Franklin's directing debut 'Corrections' screened at St Kilda Film Festival in late May. Dave cut the film in late 2007 and it has spent 18 months playing at festivals around the globe before returning home to St Kilda. Read a recent article with Bob here.
Centre Place trailer May 2009
It's been a busy few months for Dave. After finishing series 1 of Bondi Vet he cut the trailer for a new Aussie feature from Director Ben Shackleford. Centre Place is a romantic comedy set in the laneways of Melbourne.
Bondi Vet February 5 2009
The first episode of Bondi Vet has premiered on channel 10. Dave cut the 5 minute pitch reel in 2006, cut the pilot in 2007 and has spent many months cutting this first series. Dave also designed the logo, title design and graphic look for the show. Bondi Vet is produced by the mighty WTFN and you can watch an episode here.
Damned by Dawn trailer January 2009
At long last the trailer for Damned by Dawn is here. The super natural horror was shot back in late 2006 and is in the final stages of sound post. Although it pre dates Dave's work on Punishment it's huge slate of visual effects has meant a marathon post production time and will be completed in early 2009! Dave is also Associate Producer on the film.
Sudden Impact December 2008 Dave cut the first & last episodes of Sudden Impact. Just over a million Aussies watched the 1st episode which premiered on the nine network in December 2008.
More Bondi November 2008 After completing 8 episodes of Bondi Vet a further 6 episodes were commissioned by Network 10. Bondi Vet is produced by WTFN and will premiere in February 2009.

Punishment enters AFI race July 2008
'Punishment' is one of 25 feature films in contention for this year's AFI Awards.The film screens in Melbourne Saturday September 20 at 3.45pm, ACMI Federation Square.

Dave gets ASE nomination December 2007
Dave has received a nomination for best editing in a TV show (non Drama) from the Australian Screen Editors Guild (ASE). Check out all the nominations here.
Peace & Quiet in the U.S.A. November / December 2007 Way back in 1999 Dave directed and edited a short film, Peace & Quiet: Dr Genius & the Secret Agent Formula. It won a bunch of awards and had it's moment in the sun. Now it's been rediscovered on this site by the good folks at IFCT in Florida and has been invited to play at their festival in early December. Punishment all wrapped up October 2007
After a blistering 5 weeks of editing 'Punishment' has been locked and now moves into sound post and grading before theatrical release in 2008. Danny Matier's feature debut is one very powering film, with amazing performances and twists and turns that you'll never see coming.
Dave cuts Punishment August 2007 Dave's third feature film as editor is the thriller 'Punishment'. It marks the feature film directing debut for Danny Matier and stars Niic Bishop (Home & Away) & Mungo McKay (Undead). The film is being shot in Queensland and produced by Peter Glover.
Test Drive on 9 July 2007 Dave has left the fluffy world of 'Talk to the Animals' behind him and is now cutting WTFN's 'Test Drive',Channel Nine's new car, bike, boat and tech TV show. You can check it out here.

AFI Award Nomination October 2006
Dave edited and, along with Tony Davison, produced 'Transit', an 8 minute documentary about life in Hong Kong. Tony directed and shot 'Transit' on 16 mm and It's gorgeous visuals have now been nominated for 'Best Cinematography in a Documentary' at the 2006 AFI Awards. Well done Tone!
Dave cutting 2nd Feature Film September 2006 Brett Anstey, a longtime collaborator on short films with Dave, is making his debut feature Damned by Dawn. Dave is currently cutting the film after hours while editing 'Talk to the Animals'.

Beyond the Boundary March 2006
Dave cut 16 episodes of 'Beyond the Boundary' for WTFN. A half hour TV show which explores the lives of AFL footy players away from the field. BTB screens every Saturday afternoon during the 2006 AFL season on Channel Ten.
9mm Commercials November 2005 In addition to freelancing for ABCTV cutting Arts Programs Dave is working at 9mm Commercials, Channel 9's tvc production department.Recent work can be seen on the showreel page.
Dave edits his 1st feature film November 2005 Dave started editing The Line, an independent feature film directed by Michael Adante and due for completion in 2006.
Kath & Kim teaser October 2005 For the launch of the Kath & Kim telemovie 'Da Kath & Kim Code' Dave cut a 12 minute teaser which was released on DVD to approx 1 million households across Australia.

My Restaurant Rules, Series 2 May 2005 Dave was the Melbourne editor on the second series of the high rating Channel 7 reality show 'My Resaurant Rules'. In production from January 2005 - May 2005.
High Moon Trailer May 2005
Dave edited the trailer for 'High Moon', a feature length Horror-Western. Shot on HDcam the 2 minute trailer will be used to secure finance for the shooting of the feature in 2006.
Transit December 2004 Dave has completed cutting a 8 minute Hong Kong documentary called 'Transit' for Sydney director Anthony Davison. It explores the separate lives of four people in a city of 6.8 million. James Lee, composer on the Oscar nominated animated short 'Birthday Boy', has completed the score.
Peace & Quiet: Fast Pants - Tight Cars July 2004
Along with Daniel Armstrong, Dave has made a half hour action/comedy called 'Peace & Quiet: Fast Pants-Tight Cars'. It recently screened at SNOWYFest and Fitzroy Shorts winning the Audience Choice Award and received a Special Commendation for Best Editing.
